An ice storm hit Fort Wayne, Indiana a few days before Christmas. The ice weighed down the trees and broke off some branches, which landed on the power lines. So we lost electricity for four days, giving me a great deal of time to take pictures of the phenomenon.
What really amazes me was the speed at which the rain froze to ice. Everything was literally encased in ice for days. It was beautiful and eerie all at once.
I have dozens of other photos I'll try to get up in the next couple days.
